2013 Sale Results
Good attendance on what was a very pleasant July day in the New England. 31 bulls were on offer with 27 selling to a top of $12,000, average $5222 with three bulls going to studs. Bulls went north to Charleville QLD and south to the Gippsland district in VIC.
Lot 5 Lotus G0043 achieved top price, sold to the Bredhauer Family, Charleville. Lotus Gascoyne (2013 Sydney Royal Grand Champion Bull & Best Hereford Exhibit) went to Hereford enthusiasts Tim & Sue Sloman, Dundee NSW. Lot 1 L. Glenfiddich reached $8000 to the Sykes family's Karoonda Hereford Stud VIC, while Lot 2 L. Game On sold for $9500 to David Phelan VIC.
Talbalba Wagon was the prolific sire on the day, selling 5 sons to average $7800, Cootharaba Ogilvie had 7 sons sold to a top of $10,000 to average $4857, while Jacandra Digger (2010 Wodonga Res Snr Champion) 5 sons for a strong average of $4800.
Volume purchaser on the day was R. Maloney 3 bulls, Glen Gyle P'ship 2 bulls, Billabong Station 2 bulls. Local buyers the Anderson Family & Gallagher family also secured two bulls each. First time purchasers K & B Cheers, Glen Elgin purchased Lot 14 for $6000. Other local purchasers included Alt Family, Piperange P/L and T & B Miller.
